What Happens Before a BeMonocromo Piece Exists?

Before a garment exists at BeMonocromo, there is always a conversation. Sometimes it starts with a fabric we’ve been searching for. Sometimes with a silhouette that feels just right. And often, it begins with the people who will bring it to life. Because for us, creating is never just about the final piece—it’s about everything that happens before it reaches you.

We don’t follow the traditional rhythm of fashion.

Instead of producing in large volumes, we work in small, thoughtful batches. This allows us to stay close to every detail: how a fabric behaves, how a cut falls, how a piece evolves from idea to garment. We choose materials with care: organic, recycled, and certified textiles that not only reduce impact, but also feel aligned with the experience we want to create: light, refined, and lasting.

At the heart of BeMonocromo are the women we work with. We collaborate with two local workshops, both led by women whose expertise and dedication shape every garment we create. Over time, these relationships have grown into something deeper than production, they are built on trust, respect, and shared purpose.

In these spaces, craftsmanship is not rushed. It is practiced with precision, care, and pride. Every stitch carries that energy. Supporting these ateliers means contributing to something meaningful: economic independence, continuity of skills, and the strength of women building their own paths.

We often say that our garments carry a certain energy. That feeling doesn’t come only from design: it comes from the entire process behind it.

When a piece carries a print, it becomes something even more personal.

Most of our prints are created by hand, using artisanal techniques that make each garment subtly unique. There is an intentional imperfection in this process—a human touch that cannot be replicated at scale.

In other cases, we print directly onto our textiles using a low-water technique, developed specifically for organic fibers. This allows us to reduce environmental impact while preserving the depth and clarity of each design. Every print you see at BeMonocromo is original, created as part of each collection, inspired by its concept, its energy, and its story.

There is something powerful in knowing.

Knowing where a fabric comes from. Knowing who is making your clothes.Knowing the conditions behind each piece. For us, transparency is not something we announce loudly: it’s something we live quietly, every day.

We are constantly learning, refining, and questioning how to do things better.

Because creating responsibly is not a fixed point, it’s actually a path.

And we are committed to walking it with honesty, curiosity, and intention.

With love,
